Gett-eggs-burg

The Battle of Gettysburg was a turning point in US History, foreshadowing the end of the Civil War and launching the Union to victory. I'm not sure if our Battle of Gett-eggs-burg was quite as climactic, but when you have a bunch of guys running around throwing eggs at each other on a field something cool is bound to happen.

Fight Night
As part of our first rush event of the year, we offered a little something for everybody, including sumo suit wrestling in the front yard of Bob, Fight Night Round 3 on the XBox 360 with 108" HD projection, and a title match between SUPAFLY (that would be Erem Boto) and THE BEAST (Brandon Bunke-Quintero).

Ski Trip
After facing some initial hurdles (like the ski resort places in Tahoe being reluctant to rent cabins to anyone from Stanford), the brothers finally headed up to Tahoe for a weekend of relaxation, with plenty of skiing, snowman- building, and of course the old favorite, gambling...

Winter Formal

A bi-annual tradition, SigEp Formal was held in the winter this year at the Atrium restaurant in downtown San Francisco. With the chartered buses, a classy setting, good food and drinks, and a vibrant atmosphere, all we were missing was the world's most famous DJ to make the package complete.

Paintball
Waking up at the early hour of 7:00 AM, we met our brethren from Berkeley far to the south of Stanford and challenged them on the field of battle. I wish I could say it was dramatic, but we heavily outnumbered them and slaughtered them, so we ended up mixing up the teams to make it more balanced but less Gettysburg-esque in epicness.

Seniors vs. Underclassmen Football

After much ruckus and trash-talk from none other than one Marty F. Casey, sophomore and VP Recruitment this year, the sophomores and juniors challenged the Seniors to a game of tackle football. What transpired could only be described as a massacre. Or maybe a grizzly bear-led massacre.

Valentine's Day Serenades
Ah, Valentine's Day. A Hallmark holiday? A day for jilted lovers to be bitter and angry at the world? A day for people at Stanford to complain about being alone? For SigEp, it was none of those. It was a day to imitate Boyz II Men and go serenade girls.

Party with a Heart On

Right before Valentine's Day, the Phi's organized the annual winter SigEp Party. With Cupid-themed decorations and food, the party was a campus-wide hit.
